A little thing to share: Philosophy in Life

Source: Anonymous

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle,

When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,

..........................................................................................................................................................................

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again If the jar was full…

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded

With an unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced Two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
Filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor, As the laughter subsided,

‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life..The golf balls are the important things – God, family,
children, health, friends, and favorite passions

Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else – the small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, You will never have room for the things that are Important to you.

So…

Pay attention to the things That are critical to your happiness. Playwith your children. Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time oo clean the house and fix the disposal.

‘Take care of the golf balls first –The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. ‘I’m glad you asked’. He looked at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration? "

One enthusiastic student raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things into it!"

"No," the professor replied, "that's not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is: If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all." It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend!

Annual Sayang Gathering

Date: 13th - 14th of June 2009
Venue: Tembeling Resort, Tanah Putih (House of Ayie's sis), Teluk Cempedak and Tanjung Lumpur, KUANTAN.
Coordinator: Amir Loko
Main Sponsor: Nas Yusairi

A little history:
SAYANG was initially named after the football club, SAYANG FC. Later, became the name of our official channel in UTP IRChat and eventually used to address us as the whole troop.

Happening, getting together with the 5-year buddies.
Among the favourite friends.
Great weekend.
Thanks!

Not all of us managed to be there anyway. Hope next year, we can all gather again..

'Makan Besar' in action, Tanjung Lumpur.

'Karok' in action.

TC in action.

Here's the last part for some of us who came from the west coast. The next day's working day and so we have to travel back. I could see that Abu was a little upset about having to part again with the others. I felt the same way too..

Here are things I understand about best friends:
(you know, just a little something to share)

We quarrel for good.
We get mad at each other for 10 seconds.
We might say things that could hurt their feelings for one week because if we don't, they might get hurt for the rest of their lives.
Prophet Muhammad once said, "Berkata benarlah, walaupun ia pahit"
No hard feelings.
(those reminds me of Mimie.. How much I miss her!)

Some quotes to ponder:

"We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere."
-Tim McGraw

"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart."
- Anon

"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."
~Walter Winchell~

Thank you everyone for your time..
Yus, come back often, will you? :P

Among the monkeys at TC. Heheh..

Failure..

I have once thought, "Why haven't I experienced failure in life?"
That was 6 years ago, when I popped that childish question out to my father.
At that time, there's only one thing in my mind, I was afraid if I couldn't do well in my SPM.
The results turned out to be satisfying, nevertheless.

Later during my studies in the university, I gradually realized that I shouldn't have asked that question.
The journey only begun as I stepped foot outside of school and hometown where I met people from various backgrounds.
New things occurred.
New environments experienced.
New friends grouped together.
But more questions are unanswered.
Someone eventually said to me, "Welcome to the real world~"

Some things happened, which made me think, these were what I should be worried about.
I could say, "I should have known", but I didn't because they were my mistakes.
I chose to let them be that way until it was too late.
I've learned from my mistakes, I've moved on.

For those who stay, thanks for being honest from the very beginning.

Jun yang sibuk

SELAYANG - Aku sekarang kat rumah ayah sedara Nik, member satu supervisor dengan aku.. Lame betul tak update.. busy sangat.. Ada kat sini pun sebab nak attend Matlab & Simulink Day 2009 by TechSource kt Selangor Ballroom, Sheraton Subang Hotel & Towers.. Nama cam gah je tapi makan kena berdiri.. Takde kerusi.. Isk.. Nasib baik fee, free of charge.. Sebab tu la kut agak nya, takde bajet utk sewa kerusi meja.. Tapi makan tak kenyang aa.. tak larat nak makan nasik berdiri.. Mak aku ajar, makan duduk!

Sabtu ni nak gi kenduri kahwin Fatin.. Tapi siang nanti Nik dengan Ijan (yg attend matlab & simulink day sama) nak balik UTP, so aku nak gi merempat kat tempat adik aku kat Shah Alam.. setel aa satu malam.. esok nak gi Port Klang pulak.. tido umah sewa AinZul, pastu gi kenduri Fatin sama die, sekali Robeq and Anes.. Haih, kalo nak balik Tlk. Intan, nanti sabtu nak datang KL balik.. Baik lepak je sini..

Busy betul bulan Jun ni.. First week aritu family vacation ke Langkawi.. Second weekend, kenduri kat Sungai Buloh, pastu terus gerak gi Kuantan for gathering with old friends. This week got training plak (Matlab tu la), pastu weekend, wedding Fatin.. Next week ade gathering lagi, plus wedding also in the weekend, kat Kedah pulak..

But one thing yang aku perasan berubah dalam hidup aku.. Mak aku dah tak melarang sangat.. Bukan maknanya, biar je terus aku nak buat ape. Tak melarang, tapi takde pulak membiarkan. Kalau dulu, bila aku cakap aje nak pegi jauh sikit dari Teluk Intan or UTP, laju je keluar, "Tak boleh! Jangan nak mengada!! Sekarang ni bahaya.. Orang jahat sana sini!! TAK BOLEH!!" Dah pujuk2 10 kali baru la dapat setelah diceritakan segala details.. Tapi sekarang ni takyah nak rayu2, bagitau je, minggu ni nak gi sini, nak gi sane.. yang keluar cuma nasihat, "Haih.. Kamu elok2 Yan.. bawak kete elok2.. Hati2.." Kalo naik dengan member pulak, "Haa... elok2 lee.. pesan kat kawan yang bwk tu jangan laju2 sangat.. hati2.." Sekarang kat KL ni mestilah mak lagi risau sebab aku tak pernah drive masuk KL tp dalam setahun dua ni, kalau kitorg gi KL aku ingat2 gak jalan, kadang2 aku pulak kasi guide.. So, mak, dun worry k, I'll be fine.. Siang kang nak g Jalan TAR kut.. Tadi balik dari Subang baru je tersesat sampai ke sana, so takde hal aa.. Dah nampak dah jalan.. kekekekee..
